Both AF-only and EY-only (in addition to AZ) tickets are already being cancelled- and in case you missed it, Alitalia has stated to an equivalent Italian blog that they are changing all tickets to FLR-FCO-DUS tickets.
I had booked to SEZ, but after thinking about it, I didn't really like the routing, couldn't find a routing I liked, on the equipment I liked for SEZ, so canceled it all together (last Sunday, I think) and rebooked to the Carribean, where I got a nice routing. This was all AF metal.

I have missed the post where the were re-routing AF based itin's. Also, this does not originate in FLR... just need to wait and see.

The first trip I should take, does orginate in FLR, and also has AF metal on it, and LH metal, and it is Jan, and hasn't been canceled *yet*

This is what I'll be discussing with them tomorrow. Need to check the T&Cs but I booked destinations that I wanted to be at a certain time. Not holding my breath, always assumed this would get cancelled.

Presumably are you discussing with the TA rather than AZ? Do let us know how you get on, and good luck

Converting you to FLR-FCO-DUS on a random date. Which you can call in and cancel or change to a more convenient date.

But the J cabin between FCO and DUS is likely to be packed for the next several months...so you will have to be very flexible with your rebooking date

I've read the WIKI like 4 times... but need to keep up with the refreshes...

It's tough work being a customer!

All well, Sunday off to the Chicago - you remember the itinerary that I canceled a rebooked like 15 times... finally got one I liked, direct AMS-ORD, now got e-mail from UA that we'll be in their Polaris Business Class... had pretty pics and everything.. something to enjoy and perk me up, as I'll likely be sulking from my reroute from AZ by this Sunday's flight.

All my tickets are still A-Ok on all websites. I get to live in denial a wee bit longer.

I'm ok with them being cancelled though. Part of the game. You win some, you lose most.

I remember that!

A friend of mine flew in Polaris to Japan at the weekend...didn't think much of it

But don't let that put you off.

Bon voyage!!

They could not even retract the fare in one day.

Not hopeful, just entertained.
