Qualification requirements

Three ways to qualify for each level: miles on Alaska only (includes Alaska flights operated by Horizon or Skywest), combination of miles on Alaska or partners (no minimum on Alaska, can be 100% partners), or combination of segments on Alaska or partners (no minimum on Alaska, can be 100% partners).

MVP: 20,000 miles on Alaska/25,000 miles on any combination of Alaska and partners/30 segments on any combination of Alaska and partners

MVP Gold: 40,000 miles on Alaska/50,000 miles on any combination of Alaska and partners/60 segments on any combination of Alaska and partners

75K: 75,000 miles on Alaska/90,000 miles on any combination of Alaska and partners/90 segments on any combination of Alaska and partners

AS: 2016-2018 Consolidated Mileage/Status/Challenge Runs help needed

Thanks for this information. My weekends have now become not mine and I only have 1 weekend to accomplish getting 10700EQM. I looked at GF and found PDX SFO PHL r/t in first (to get cabin bonus) gets me 10722 EQM but at $1527

I am obviously not as adept as others on this forum in finding these great MR deals. Any help, even with any international bookings (Hainan business fares look tasty), would be much appreciated.

Premium economy (Main Cabin Select) on Virgin America is worth 150% EQM. You could try playing around with multi-city on Google Flights.

For example:

PDX-SFO-LAX-SFO-PHL-SFO-PDX in VX MCS on 12/09-12/10 is $831
- 10,713 EQM (7,142 base miles + 50% class of service bonus)
- 17,305 RDM with double miles promo

PDX-SFO-LAX-SFO-LAX-FLL-LAX-SFO-PDX in VX MCS on 12/09-12/10 is $861
- 11,676 EQM (7,784 base miles + 50% class of service bonus)
- 13,676 RDM with double miles promo

First timer going for MVP. Kicking myself b/c of VX LAX-ORD RT credited to VX instead of AS in early 2017.

Departure Airport: BUR or LAX
Miles Needed: 4,698
Required Spend or Budget: Less is better ideally <$300
Available Travel Dates: Any days other than 12/9-12/11
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: AS/VX only (needs 9,700mi for partners)

I have found an LAX-ANC RT for ~$270 that would leave me 8mi short

Here's a probably easy one:

Required Spend or Budget: Anything
Available Travel Dates: First two weeks in december
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Yup

I'm trying to requalify for MVP 75K. I would like two minimize my costs, but I also want to fly through PDX and SEA to try out the priority pass lounges and AS Board Room/Centurion Lounge in SEA.

I found this flight: https://goo.gl/flights/phzo for $444, but it's 4617 miles (with 500 mile min for PDX-SEA), so I'd like to find a way to cross 4800. Any thoughts? Happy to go anywhere but would like to go to SAN, ORD, or AUS.

A couple of years ago, I was eleven miles short of renewing MVP Gold on Dec 28th. I had a final threshhold-crossing flight booked for 12/30, but on a lark I called the Mileage Plan customer service and asked them if there was a chance they could grant me the Gold status as a courtesy. The agent was delightful and said that 11 miles was so close, it would be no problem at all. I cancelled the then-unnecessary flight for a refund.

So I'd suggest it might be worth a call.
