Would like shortest and cheapest flight possible. I am ok to do a turnaround on same plane.

Sea to Ind is do-able, but kinda $$.

Thanks,
Kim
SEA-IAH RT on scattered dates through 10/31, ~3748miles for $233

Great to know for the future. Thanks much. I ended up parking at the Hilton LAX - $30 or so for the time - not bad - but will try the limo next time.
Yes the Intercontinental is a haul from the airport hehe - but i love that hotel.

Ideas for 22.5K MR on AS to hit MVPG 75K?

Departure airport: PDX
Miles needed: 22.5K
Required spend: as little as possible
Avail travel dates: Oct-25-Nov 30
Required metal: Prefer AS for PE seats but partners ok.

I just figured out I need 22.5K miles to reach MVPG 75K on Alaska for the first time. I will be at just over 52.5K with current flying. I have been Gold for a few years and MVP for many but never hit 75K. Am I crazy to try?

Any ideas for milage runs that are cost effective? I have a block of time that runs from Oct 25- Nov 30 where I can take off for 5-7 days at my leisure. Would love to hit the 75K as my partner and I have some trips planned next year and it would be nice to get the perks and use the miles for ULH on partners in '19.

Thx in advance for any suggestions. I am new to milage runs.

Cheapest right now would be to do East Coast same day RTs I think.
PDX-SEA-BOS RT - $349 10/28 - 5992 EQM https://goo.gl/flights/YgTJ
PDX-BOX-SEA-PDX - $340 10/31 - 5533 EQM https://goo.gl/flights/Ljok
PDX-SEA-BOS-PDX - $340 11/4 - 5533 EQM https://goo.gl/flights/i3Dd
PDX-SEA-RDU RT - $308 11/8 - 5708 EQM https://goo.gl/flights/jpk3

Another option, at a higher cost but perhaps more comfortable/interesting:
PDX-SFO-HKG-SIN RT in CX PE from SFO, multiple dates available during that period
19833 EQM, $1841 https://goo.gl/flights/Fsm4

& two PDX-LAX RT, multiple dates available (or an East Coast same day RT)
1668 EQM each, as low as $131 each https://goo.gl/flights/LuwH
You could knock both out in the same day.

ETA: reread your post- scratch the second option if you need more than that 22.5K miles for the partners+Alaska threshold (90K miles needed under that standard to reach Gold 75K).

I need to fly to the Middle East (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) from anywhere in the US.

I can spend upto $2,500 ($3K might be okay too). I can leave from any airport.

Trying to figure out the best way to get the most miles..Cant think of anything. I thought I can do flex fares on EK but turns out it still gets only 50% credit.

Thank you very much for your tips and flights. The east coast routes will be the ticket. Now all I have to do is decide if spending 1200+ is worth it to get 75K status. I am on the fence with this one as I am not sure the benefits over MVPGold are going to make up for the cost of reaching 75K status. My suspicion is no way that the perks are worth it? Maybe if the tab was picked up by an employer but that is not the case here. Thanks again!

You could also factor in the Double Miles promo running through February. There are several routes out of PDX. If you value redeemable miles highly, the bonus cuts the cost of the flights down a fair bit!

LAX-LHR-DXB in BA PE for $1663? Credits at 100% https://goo.gl/flights/sQxE - watch out when changing dates, some of the options will have one or more legs in regular economy.

You're most welcome! As for the 'is it worth it?', the regular AS forum has a number of previous thread such as http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/alask...etroit-mr.html. Benefits are: 50K RDM bonus (~$1000@2cpm), 4 lounge passes ($180 cash), higher upgrade priority, additional 25% elite bonus on miles, eligible for PC "upgrades" on all fare classes at booking, matches to PM on DL's challenge vs GM...

Unless a J fare on a partner shows up, probably easiest would be something like CX in PE to SIN twice. AS transcons from YYC via SEA to BOS/NYC/MCO/FLL are going to be around $500-600 for 5000-6000 miles so looking at multiple trips (maybe stringing some together) for about the same price. Positioning/overnighting in SEA might cut those flight costs some...

YYC-YVR-HKG-SIN RT in PE (note that YYC-YVR is on WS and not included in mileage calculation) ~17556 miles $1673, do two for 35112 miles. Ready to go this weekend? https://goo.gl/flights/VDWf other scattered dates through September

Just booked PDX-CLT-MIA-UIO-MIA-DFW-PDX in I class on AA in November, several dates for about $1160 - 9400 EQM + 4700 EQM Class Of Service. Get those AA partner miles while you can...

Departure Airport:LAX
Miles Needed:As many as possible
Required Spend or Budget:Good value
Available Travel Dates:Rest of year but would like to get double miles in Sept
Required Metal or Codeshares okay:AS

Hello. Have barely flown this year. Would like to be MVP Gold again. Would like to visit LIM, are LATAM seats horrible? BKK but can't figure out what partner flights this is reasonable on. And perhaps a last week of October visit to Mumbai. Have family in DCA so those cheap trans con flights are planned already. Thank you for help. Quite adventurous so if there is good flight I would consider it. The Condor business class seems to be much higher now

I'd like to snag as many miles as I can on Labor Day in the least amount of legs possible. I don't mind getting up early and getting back around midnight.
