Anything reasonably priced in F in AS with around 6K miles that will credit 175%?
@Flying for Fun probably has the most efficient use of time: LAX-SJO r/t same day turn - available for $1030 in F a few days between now and EOY. That would be 9524 EQM, so you'd need a short segment to complete the 10K.

ETA: there isn't much else that I can find in F for <$1K

From Portland, i will need just 712 miles to Gold 75. Will a flight to Seattle and back do it? I understand they do a minimum of 500 miles on that segment, but not sure that counts towards miles flown or not. Anyone know? thanks!

I am concerned about turnaround in SJO - the answers i got seem to echo my concerns...
Is immediate turnaround in SJO possible?

i do see some sub $1000 fares in first to ANC that can be padded with short segments - need to doublecheck exact math there...

Yep, PDX-SEA-PDX is 1000 EQM (500 mile segment minimum).

LAX-SEA/PDX-PDX/SEA-ANC would get you pretty close, but F segments add up quickly $$.
I was also looking at some Fairbanks flights for the win. But, most of them involved some gross timings and like a 12 hour trip...

ETA: Be very careful connecting through SEA if you value your time... Construction causing a ton of delays there (at least through mid Dec).

LAX-PVG RT in PY is ~$950. - Booked one since I was headed to China anyways.

Just to make sure - 100% base miles earning means that MVPG members earn double RDM and 100% EQM?

Looks like I'm going to be a little under 4K (or 4 segments) short for 75K. Mainly in PDX now, but WAS is an option too. Maybe I shouldn't have booked that award ticket for next week....grrrr

After the coupon you can easily get it to $~740ish for SEA-HNL. About 9K EQMS I think.

That said, I found a QF flight from SEA-LAX-SYD-LAX-SEA with the LAX legs on AS. 16.9K EQM and should be about 34K RDM. $830 but more fun than the trip to nowhere (even in F) that HNL would be. Will requalify me for MVPG by 20 miles

2581 miles * 2 = 5162 miles * 1.75 Class of Service Bonus = 9034 EQM

ETA: for comparison, SAN-LIH is 2670 * 2 = 5340 * 1.75 = 9345 EQM

Thank you. I could send my wife to BOS and back for about $750 in P but she's not a crazy mileage runner like me. I'll just use that money to pay for upgrades when she travels with me. I'm already MVPG for 2018 and don't need it.

ended up booking ANC F run.. prob $400 more than cheaper 10k in coach options but guaranteed F and finishing rhis off in 1 day is probably worth it.. and i ve never been to ANC - december sounds like a perfect time to start

in case of misconnects - AS does give original routing credit right?

IME, yes on the original routing credit. I went to Anchorage in December last year - kind of interesting with the sun not showing up until 10 am!
