For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

Thanks! Wow. you weren't kidding about it not going to be fun! I'm holding a ticket for SAN-ORD-EWR-SAN in First for a same day turn for 12/28 for ~$1085. Hoping I find a better option than that pricewise, but otherwise, probably the most comfortable way to do it I've come up with. More suggestions always appreciated. I farelocked until Friday so still a few days until I need to decide. Thanks again!

It's a doozy, but it works and it's under budget! BWI-IAH-HNL-ORD-BWI-ORD-DFW-ORD-BWI 12,800 miles on a single ticket.

2-3000 PQMs needed

Departure Airport: SFO/DEN
Miles Needed: 3066 or 2099 PQM
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value): $500 max budget, no required spend
Available Travel Dates:
  • 12/21 from SFO to DEN (one way) - need 3066 PQM
  • 12/22-12/30 from DEN to anywhere (rt) - need 2099 PQM
  • 12/28-30 DEN-Los Angeles area (ow) - need 2099 PQM
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: codeshares okay
Route(s) You've Already Searched: SFO-IAH-DEN, SFO-ORD-DEN
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? No

I already have a flight booked from SFO-DEN on 12/21, but it's refundable, and if I can find a SFO-DEN oneway for 3066 PQM, that's ideal. If not possible, I can take another r/t from Denver after 12/22, or a ow to Los Angeles before New Years, and would only need 2099 PQM.

KG1FF Take a look at SFO-ORD-BNA-DEN O/W on 12/21 It's a little over budget but get's the job done. I know it's more than you wanted to spend but the best 12/22 MR our of DEN is via ORD and MSP with a overnight layover. Yuck!

You can gamble on same-day change and standby for an earlier flight. It is easy to avoid an overnight stay.

Thanks! So you'd book DEN-ORD-MSP, and then try to standby for a same day turn home?

No, the gamble is an earlier flight out of DEN. If you look at the link I provided it's a late afternoon departure to ORD that gets you stuck in the Midwest with no flight out of MSP. BTW, it's a serious gamble with load factors so high in general but especially around Christmas travel.
