For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Mileage Runs

Departure Airport: DTW (or nearby)
Miles Needed: Lots of MQMs
Required Spend or Budget: error fare low
Available Travel Dates: Any remaining 2018
Required Metal or Codeshares okay:
Whatever is the best and fastest way to get MQMs.

My wife and I are looking for business class / economy error fares to practically anywhere in the world just to rack up miles cheap and see some cool places for a few hours. We took our first mileage run last December from DTW to FLL and went to the beach for 8 hours. Had a blast and we want a lot more of it. Thanks!

Pretty much any decent MR fare is going to have a 2 or 3 week advance purchase requirement, so it is very unlikely you will find anything decent at less than 7 days out (plus, it is Easter weekend to boot). Pretty difficult to find anything that arrives at JFK on a Saturday morning from CHS or area as well (about the best you can do is 10:23AM arrival with a connection in ATL).

You could nest a JFK-FAI side trip inside a CAE-JFK trip, but you are talking about $1100 total.

That's pretty much what I figured, and wasn't finding anything great. 10:23 AM connecting through ATL would work fine, but all of the fares I was finding were pretty high. Was hoping that someone had something nice that I had missed. Thanks for the feedback LBJ!

FAI would fit the bill. You could do a quick turn in FAI to get back to Chicago within 24 hours, easily.

If you do not mind basic economy (i.e no upgrade) , you could ORD-SEA-OGG and back for $350 (~4 cpm). The only issue is that leaves July 1st and gets back the 2nd around 2PM

Departure Airport: YYZ
Miles Needed: 10,000 MQMs
Required Spend or Budget: CDN$700 or less
Available Travel Dates: Any weekend (prefer not to have to burn vacation days)
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: As long as I get MQMs, don't care what airline I fly on.

I've been trying to find some reasonable deals for a MR on a weekend (I know weekends aren't my best bet...) but apparently I
a) suck at using ITA Matrix and Google Flights; and,
b) lack imagination as to what cities to look for.

I'm fine with main cabin but I'd like to avoid basic economy if possible.

Bali (DPS) might be an option (from MCO) - available on Delta website

Tough to fit in a weekend. YYZ-KOA on May 5 is $767 CAD in main cabin (X and H fares). 10,333 MQM's. Can be found from $619 CAD on some weekdays (V fares).
