- signup bonuses for various DL-branded AMEX cards (usually have a spend requirement)
- if you already have planned travel, consider buying up (in advance, not at check in) for 50% MQM bonus and more flexible same-day-confirmed options which are another way to increase MQMs
- Hilton 250 MQMs per stay of 2 nights or more

Hello, pretty far away but i sure could use Platinum to get the free award changes and other benefits.(current gold level for the past few years)

Miles Needed: 17,178 (probably closer to 16k as I plan on having a trip to SLC on Dec 28th
Required Spend or Budget: budget around $1k or cheapest possible
Available Travel Dates: now to $12/22
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: anything that gets the MQMs. Dont need an overnight stay, just need to be in the air.

Don't really see anything in that price range out of DTW. You could do two back-to-back CLE-DTW-LAS-DTW-CLE trips on Dec 11th and Dec 12th for $262 each (about 9K MQM's). Those are BE fares though.

Don't think you can do it for $1K. RST-HNL on the 17th for $850 + RST-MSP-LAS-DTW-MSP-RST on the 19th for $256.

Thanks Canuck...you are AMAZING (caps intended) to all of us here at the DL MR community.
My MR requirement was lowered to around 10k miles, I was able to find a single US only run, BOS>JFK>MSP>ANC, departing 12/27, return next day, in first (P), for $1200ish for 12K miles. Thought that wasn't bad for an emergency run.
