For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Departure Airport: PHX
Miles Needed: 365
Required Spend or Budget: Least expensive
Available Travel Dates: Flexible until end of the year, open to options

Side note: I'm 6006 short right now but have a flight for work that goes from PHX-MSP-RDU, RDU-ATL-SAN, SAN-LAX-PHX, all in K or V class. Would it just be better to buy Comfort+ on one of the flights that is >500 miles to get the 50% boost? Preferred won't work for the MQM boost, correct?

I suspect you are in need of MQM's for status, not redeemable miles? There's no MQM bonus for C+ tickets. Purchasing C+ or Preferred seats will only earn additional MQD's and redeemable miles, no extra MQM's. In order to get a 50% MQM bonus, you need to purchase an upgrade to a First Class seat. You could potentially try to do same-day routing changes for more MQM's, but there's no guarantee there will be fare inventory in your fare class to allow the change. Paying to upgrade to First Class on a longer segment would be the safest way. The upgrade must be done more than 24 hours prior to departure in order to treated as a fare class upgrade eligible for the 50% MQM bonus. Alternatively, there are PHX-LAX/SLC roundtrip fares for around $200 in late December.

Can it be Done?

Departure Airport: DTW or NYC
Miles Needed: 46k
Spend: 4000
Availablility: Now until 12/31

Hi FT pros! Thanks to following info here I was able to achieve Diamond status for 2018. However, I'm far from a repeat for 2019. Any suggestions? Willing to fly a few flights in First domestically or to Europe to achieve my goal. Thanks in advance.

For anyone who did one of the China Eastern trips to Singapore - how long did it take to post through to Skymiles?

Thanks...

Aeromexico: JFK-NRT $3529 36376 RDMs 27282 MQMs 7275.2 MQDs Dec 26-28
You could also throw in a JFK-CUN/SJO at sub 800 to get some more miles...

China Eastern is also a safe bet since it credits at a huge rate, with JFK-DEL giving 30194 MQMs, 40256 RDMs and MQDs of $8050. But it's not pricing out nicely (over 5000)on ITA Matrix...

For probably about the same amount of money, you could just rollover the 46K, and do some runs in January at a more leisurely pace, and extend your DM status through 2020 without ever losing it.

Might make more sense to do it in January... I'm seeing JFK-DEL at 2800 or so... giving 30194 MQMs, 40256 RDMs and MQDs of $8050

Oh, wait. I got confused and now realize he needs 46K and won't rollover much. At any rate, it's a very expensive time of year to be flying to be trying to make up for that amount of a shortfall. Also, it's odd when I see people list multiple origin airports which aren't within driving distance. At this time of the year, just the positioning costs of flying between them is likely to be pretty high.

Some other options for this year:

Dec 11 - 13, JFK-SIN, China Eastern, $928, about 21,500 MQMs, bookable on Expedia
Dec 18 - 20, JFK-KUL, China Eastern, $1555, about 21,500 MQMs, bookable on Expedia

I live part time in each city, hence the 2 locations. Kinda figured it would be a long shot, but wanted to see if it was at all possible. Platinum may have to do for 2019 🤷.
