For each request, please include the following information:
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.
----
NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.
Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----
*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")
NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
- signup bonuses for various DL-branded AMEX cards (usually have a spend requirement)
- if you already have planned travel, consider buying up (in advance, not at check in) for 50% MQM bonus and more flexible same-day-confirmed options which are another way to increase MQMs
- Hilton 250 MQMs per stay of 2 nights or more
- if you are close to a threshold Delta often will offer a buy-up (at exorbitant prices). 2016 thread, and speculation/anticipation thread for 2017

Ha, looking back it appears that you are the one who answered my question the first time. You said this:
If you reposition to ORD, AM has business class from ORD-CUN for as low as around $700 RT. Routing through MEX will earn around 2000 MQD's. For example, ORD-DTW-MEX-CUN-MEX-ORD is available for $725 on AM for 12/6 - 12/8.
I have no idea how to get that routing to actually show up. Do I just look for ORD-CUN round trip and that might show up (fully understanding that it's 3 weeks past when you originally said that, but I'm asking theoretically if that's how it would be done).

Thank you! Is there something unique with DL Vacation packages and how they earn MQDs or MQMs? How do I actually go about routing through JFK/LGA? Just pick the itinerary that has that as a stop? Apologies for the stupid questions, most of my travel has always been nonstop.

DL Vacations are considered opaque exception fares and earn MQD's as a percentage of miles earned (20% of miles earned) instead of fare paid. C+ fares earn 100% miles flown (cheaper coach fares earn less than 100%). The JFK/LGA connection (and then ATL) will show as one of the routing options on outbound if there is availability.

Quick Question. I booked MSP-DTW-PVG and back for a mileage run on the new Delta plane in the new premium economy. I am confused about if I need a visa for China for the short trip. I will be overnighting in Shanghai and then coming back Dec 7-9. I am Canadian citizen living and departing from US. I checked the Canadian consular page about Chinese visas, but it was so confusing. Aka if you're traveling from Canada and to a third country you don't need a visa. For this short, simple mileage run trip, overnighting in Shanghai, do I need to get a visa? Edited to add: I just found out from Delta I need to have a ticket to a third country to go without a visa to Shanghai. I spent a long time on the phone wiht the lady from Delta when I booked and she didn't tell me any of this. I just spoke to someone else and she said as long as I have a confirmed ticket to a third aka perhaps HK, then it should work. I feel so stupid. I am normally more on the ball than this and I think I am in a big mess considering I leave on Dec 7. Can anyone help with advice?
Edited again: I booked an award flight to/from HK to avoid the visa. Is it absolutely necessary I board that flight or hope that the DTW/PVG flight is late so I <gasp> miss it?
