For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

To be honest, if you are burning GUC's on mileage runs, I'd question the value proposition of DM and the GUC's to you. VS has Economy Delight fares from $988 on IAD-JNB which will easily cover your MQD needs, but are not upgradeable with a DL GUC. AF has Premium Economy fares on same route for about $2000 which are potentially upgradeable with a DL GUC.

MIA - JNB 11/19 - 12/2

I booked this today via Expedia!

Are there any specific details I need to confirm with VS? I input my Skymiles information on Expedia, but want to make sure I get MQM and MQD credit.

Thanks LBJ.

I've done both Economy Delight and Premium Economy flights on VS and have had no issues with posting to DL as expected. They took a few days to post, but everything posted without intervention.

10,000 mileage run

Help please!
Im trying to hit Platinum for the first time ever and am going to be 10,000 miles short. I have already hit the MQDs, so looking for a "Pay with Miles" eligible flight and route, to get that 10K

Departure Airport: ATL (or BOS, MCO, BHM)
MQMs Needed: ~10,000
Required Spend or Budget: Spend <$800
Available Travel Dates: Any weekend in November or December or a same day round trip weekday. (except for 12/7-12/9)

BOS - HNL with same day turn is $796 in main cabin on 12/8 and earns 10,346 MQM with SEA routing. MCO - LIH is around $835 in main cabin for same date.

You can do EWR-BUF via DTW for $148 roundtrip in BE or $208 in main cabin. Mostly mid-week in early December.

8000 MQM mileage run from LA

Anyone have any bright ideas for nabbing 8000 MQMs out of Los Angeles by the end of the year? Trying to make platinum medallion for the first time, thanks!

Look at some of DL's mainland China partners such as MU for cheap business class fares to Asia, but be aware of mainland China TWOV rules and pay attention to how their various fare classes earn MQMs (and MQDs if you need some). There are TPAC nonstops from LAX that are good deals in terms to getting a lot of MQMs (rollover) for the price and time.
