For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: there is not much time left in 2017, given that travel tends to be expensive around holidays. You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Another criteria to consider - to extent can book in Delta One (low Delta One fare) or use GUCs would be ideal

Impetus for this was a flight last month where I flew to India from ORD in Delta One (with Air France and KLM legs), I paid about ~$2,100 and earned ~30,000 MQMs. Was for a vacation, not specifically an MQM run. But trying to find trips like this.

I know google flights is my friend - thats how I found the India option. But, since I will not search every permutation, was hoping others have seen or will find interesting ideas.

Ideally, would leave from DTW but it seems like there are never good opps here. Second best is ORD or YYZ (~4 hour drive), and then any positioning flight in US can work as well.

Lastly, I should add that I'm willing to pay a premium to fly in Delta One whether on flight that I earn extra MQMs or where I have an extremely good shot at GUC upgrade.

Thanks everyone!
It isn't Delta One, but there are some interesting Premium Economy fares on SkyTeam airlines right now that offer pretty good mileage. The one I've had my eye on is MIA-LHR-JNB on Virgin Atlantic for around $1400. Books into K so 125% miles, 150% MQM and 25% of flown miles for MQD. Not sure if something similar is available from DTW/ORD/YYZ.

I do think Air France has some interesting PE fares out of YYZ but haven't looked in a while since YYZ isn't somewhere I can position to.

Would make some long treks in PE and I'm not sure how GUCs might apply on a partner airline but from a pure value perspective, seems tough to beat, especially if MQDs might be an issue end of year.

Not an MR, but if you spend another $25k on your platinum delta amex, you will get another 10k MQM.

yeah. I'm hopeful I'll be able to do that once I start using the card again in a few months. That is only 25% of what I need though. Thanks!

I would be interested in this as well. Same flexibility as FLYfromDTW.

I am about to embark on a "mileage collection exercise" from MSP to FRA to GRU to MSP to FRA to MSP yielding 42K MQM for $2800. The FRA - GRU - MSP - FRA flights are in D1, nested in a MSP - FRA - MSP round trip in Y. You can construct similar itineraries from DTW instead of MSP. My flights are spread over a few months, but you can do it in a few days if you have the stomach (and butt) for it.
