I just played around on Google flights and found a bunch IAH-Europe for $1500-1700 (not CDG or AMS). Cities like MUC, FRA, PRG all are low.
Too bad oneworld hasn't matched

There are still some there, eg right now SFO-BUD is $1600 Skyteam starting in August. Keep checking, this deal lasted pretty long compared to past ones and expanded to a bunch of city pairs, intermittently went away and came back, and now seems to be back to fewer cities in central europe again.

Turkish is fighting back on some routes with $1600 fares, they really got tooled by that $1100 IST fare. Some Skyteam payback for Turkish flooding the market with consistent $2500 biz to Europe!

channa posted a OW deal from S* hubs to Italy that lasted for a few hours. I got one of those to clinch EXP and 2 of the Skyteam ones. Figure I will be crediting AS moving forwards after AA goes revenue based. The 7 day minimum on all of these sucked because I usually do 5 day turns to Europe but whatever who can complain at these prices.

Just bought AF IAD-CDG-IST in J, dates in mid-March, for $1100/ticket. Wish TK would have matched, but really can't complain about anything for these prices!

I don't call that 'matching' hoping to see $1500 to AMS/CDG/FCO etc.

Got two tickets SAT-FRA in J for Labor day week for under 1600. Only staying in Europe 6 days. Still thinking where to go from FRA. Wife would like to go to Scottland but I am leaning towards the Greek islands or Sicily. Any recommendations?

Found 3 J seats LAX-CDG-MUC round trip on AF in October for $1,700 each. New business class cabin on 777. Available cities in Europe were limited but still a killer deal.

Did you have to call Air France? How to ensure MQMs on Delta?
