Ticketed on 081- so QF plate.

I can see it in OTAs using Sabre, on the one working on Amadeus the price is 2x.

The QF site let me assign seats but they didn't stick. I then saw that they charge $15/segment t reserve...

I'm not sure if my BA status is any use here seat and lounge wise. I can enter my FF number on the QF website, but can't look at seats etc until after payment is made.

THere seems to be some flights through the cheap flight portals that allow a 7:30am arrival and a 6:45pm departure, so you could have a few hours in the city and arrive in AKL just before midnight.

I found the $447 ish

Long freaking trip in Y though, I'm not sure that I can pull the trigger in coach

So if AA operates but it is booked on a QF codeshare which the returns seem to be that way at least at the lower fares; can a SWU be used?

American Systemwide upgrades are usable on flights that are both AA operated and AA marketed/coded.

I would do that.

And for that price, you can suffer in coach ;-)

By the way, I pulled up a price on Travelocity that was about $5-10 more than CheapOAir, but when I hit continued, the price jumped up. So you may have to stick with CheapOAir and their 4 hour cancellation policy.

I've actually never taken advantage of one of these deals. It's a long trip in coach, especially if you have to connect in Oz.

Just to see, I casually asked Mrs. TrojanTraveler if she had any desire to go to New Zealand (without mentioning anything about this deal). Her first comments were "not in coach". That ended the discussion. Not sure how she got so spoiled...

Thanks.

Any one know how to check the booking class "O"?
