Once you fly the first segment, you MAY BE ABLE to change the flights, if you try to do so before you fly the first segment, this will reprice. Some people are not able to make any changes even after the first flight is taken without getting repriced at $2000-3000+

Please post dates traveling, itinerary, user ID, brief comments

Yes ticket number is on the receipt. Thanks - I take it that lack of email doesn't matter as long as ticket number is there. Guess it might just be a technical issue of AA.

from my understanding you can't change the itinerary of the flight without the 1st segment flown.

how did you change route without flying the first segment @BThumme

I had a schedule change that would have me landing an hour later after my connecting flight left. Going to call them back up now and see what happens.

I'm also seeing this:

Endorsements/Restrictions
SKDCHG/ C38-40

Any idea what C38-40 is?

Just got off the phone with a friendly agent. He says my electronic copy is still showing Y, despite what my ("print itinerary and receipt") shows.

My credit card has been charged and both AA and JAL websites have trip status as ticketed/confirmed, with JAL missing out a few AA domestic segments.
However, no AA confirmation email yet. I can print itinerary and receipt though. When I called to ask, the agent said she will send it, but what I received was an "eTDS itinerary document", which mentioned "This is an itinerary summary only and does not constitute ticketing."
My situation was the opposite: received emailed itineraries from AA.com within an hour of booking, but no pending charges on credit card appeared for several days. Checked my CitiAA business account again this morning and the three charges of March 31 for the tickets have finally appeared.

Same situation here, though I haven't called. Status is ticketed, however no confirmation email. The charge showed on my Citi CC account pretty quickly, and finally dropped the pending status and became a confirmed transaction when I checked this morning.

On the print itinerary and receipt page, there is a ticket number and I *think* that's what's important

So confused. I called AA to change my flight and my Y class now went from Y to ED?? The agent is convinced this is an employee discount ticket. Although I booked on AA's regular site. She also give me the employee hotline although I've told her repeatedly this is not the case. Help!

Just an update: so I finally see my US Amex being charged this morning [EST], but I also found I made a mistake. The price I paid was USD 208. (Anyone got this or remember seeing this fare?)

I booked it on Jal.com and remember seeing a price around 5,000 NT, but when I checked my e-receipt today again it showed 6700ish NT, so Amex didn't mess up the exchange rate. My ticket is leaving from and ending at both TSA, but I don't remember seeing it priced differently from other TPE itineraries when I booked it.

It was my first time doing error fare/flash sales, whatever term you wish to call it, and my first time using JAL system. I did remember seeing 5000 NT fare, but maybe I was just too excited, nervous and confused the whole time that I misread or didn't get the exchange right. Well, I guess USD 208 is still an amazing deal but just not so enjoyable anymore knowing I could have got it at 168.

Seems that it was better to book it on AA.com than JAL, so that I could have an AA-coded reservation and enjoy some of the AA benefits (eg same-day flight change policy for Y fare)
