One of my legs is the 2nd lowest class of service which allows for seat assignments prior to check-in. I was however able to select seats for all legs of my journey.

For 4 tickets, cheapo will book it, but they price it out to 51 bucks. I want to avoid that, but also wants to be sure my booking is in the airline system.

Woohoo! Booked JFK-LIS-PRG-LIS-JFK for $288 in U this morning. Long LIS layovers each way — should be a nice trip to visit family in PRG and explore LIS.

Same here - snagged 4 tickets from NYC to Barcelona via Priceline. Class L tickets. I can pull them up on the TAP website, but no option to select seats. I do have a confirmed ticket number, so it looks like these will be honored.

6 hours later and still haven't been ticketed. Fare class L looks like it allows advance seat selection, so I am hoping I can do so once I've been ticketed.

My seat change options are available. I booked directly with TAP thinking it would be easier to cancel within the 24 hour period.

Called to cancel one of the bookings I could not use. I waited on hold for about 10 minutes (their website even has a handy indicator of hold times, which is helpful) and the agent helped me. No issues to report. Cancelling over the phone was very simple.

The new daily Boston service starts on June 11 and the new JFK daily flights commence on July 1. Both will be operated with new Airbus A330 aircraft to be delivered in June. - See more at: http://www.tapportugal.com/Info/en/a....5VJdcr10.dpuf
Currently booked on seat 8K on the way down, and 8A on the way back, their current A332's don't have a row 8 in Y.

TAP's press release says they acquired 2 new A330 specifically for the new US services (JFK & BOS) with the new layout (exactly like the current Azul A330-200s).
The rest of the A332 fleet should be updated from 2017 onward with the new layout.

Edit, I called the rep said it's the new aircraft but coming back they have only 12-13-14. Hopefully it's plus seats.
