We're going to BCN in Oct but my wife wanted to check out Madrid then as well. Figured this way could avoid the high cost of train and save the time between the 2 cities. Now either way is fine. It was just going to be a Thurs am arrival to Sunday am departure.

My cheapo pending charges no longer shows and my credit level is back to the pre purchase limit. However the travel insurance I purchased from Cheapo (booked the flights from) has posted... Very strange! checkmytrip shows it as being confirmed, still.

If we were going for longer I definitely would and then take a ferry to Morocco. We'll see what happens. Orbitz and TAP both say ticket is confirmed and still standing although no charges pending or record with my cc. Although further up thread someone mentioned AZ dropped charges for 2 weeks. Any ideas for near Madrid besides museums which I see plentiful

I would also be interested to hear what people are planning
It seems good restaurants, parks and museums are plentiful and don't require substantial pre planning
Also considering a small wine tour trip or a Real Madrid game, mostly for the experience
Orbitz charge just came through yesterday for both our tickets, wahoo!

Anyone noticing their seat assignments change without notice? I noticed they just changed my JFK-LIS seats from 7ACD to 7DEF out of nowhere, meaning we lose the two bulkhead/exit row seats and are stuck in the 4 seater.
