I pulled the trigger and booked:
SFO-HND-BKK
BKK-NRT-LAX-DEN-YEG
All on UA metal except HND-BKK and BKK-NRT
Could have got it for 341 USD on ANA/AC mix but wanted UA so I could ensure E+ so paid 415 USD....
Booked early October and used priceline from matrix script plugins... (even though priceline was 30 USD more than matrix....)

I was just able to pull up EWR-NRT-BKK-NRT-ORD-YUL for Dec 1-8 on a simple Google multi-city search. Book able on United.com for $647

FYI, this also works out of Houston, e.g. IAH-..-SIN/BKK/MNL and BKK/MNL/SIN-..-Canada.
Now that we know it's possible to route through NYC & LA, has anyone figured out a way to route through Houston on the return?
UPDATE: per holtnow's post #43, it's possible. I tried on ITA and it worked with advanced codes and coming back to YUL or YYZ (higher prices for YEG, YYC or YVR).
