EARN A FREE UA RPU - UA: Long Distance W/V Fare International Jan Fares
Hi All,
6 GPU expiring on 1/31/2016 (already called and had 2 extended- originally was 8).
Need a long distance flight (upgradable fares - GPU only) from USA to somewhere internationally with good turn times.
Right now I am planning on WAS-EWR-DEL-EWR-WAS to burn them. Need other suggestions. Better CPM is obviously appreciated.
Update: As posters noted I did not provide the price. The price for the W fare on that route is $1,550 USD for 15,468 miles. I have the last two weekends open in January and the couple days before that. Next weekend (MLK day) does not work as I already have an American flight booked.
Will award top candidate a free RPU (maybe two depending on how good).

If these prices are for Upgradable UA fares, they are excellent and will be hard to beat.

Keep in mind though that EWR-DEL is notoriously difficult to upgrade.
LAX-SIN RT in W or above for $856 (if true) is a remarkable fare - I may do a run too at that price.

It is difficult to provide improved cpm without a current cpm (or at least the price/dates) you have found for WAS-DEL...

The lowest I am seeing for LAX-SIN on those dates is $1724 for LAX-NRT-SIN-NRT-SIN in W. And R0 to boot!

First message indicates MR is ex-WAS, but home airport is LAX...is it WAS you are requesting? Also, is 1K still correct? (I think GS upgrades into PN)
As desirable as an international with the minimum number of flights, it's really hard to find something affordable with space. If you're seeing 10cpm for W-fare with >R0, that's really hard to justify. Premier Accelerator at 11cpm seems real attractive at that point.
Another option is try something domestic/Carribbean. Here's an option...combine these two:
WAS-BQN(Econ): http://goo.gl/flights/BbNd
BQN-HNL(First): http://goo.gl/flights/DvAs
So it would look like this:
Fri 22 Jan
UA4269 DCA-CLE 1430-1555 E45 (L single cabin)
UA1138 CLE-EWR 1707-1851 73G (L)
UA1071 EWR-BQN 2114-0159(+1) 739 (L)
Sat 23 Jan
UA1162 BQN-EWR 0255-0555 739 (P/First)
UA15 EWR-HNL 0910-1533 764 (P/First lay-flat)
UA1229 HNL-LAX 2330-0659(+1) 753 (P/First)
UA1549 LAX-IAH 0829-1350 739 (P/First)
UA1945 IAH-EWR 1427-1855 739 (P/First)
UA1071 EWR-BQN 2114-0159(+1) (P/First)
Sun 24 Jan
UA1169 BQN-EWR 0255-0555 739 (L)
UA4646 EWR-DCA 0904-1025 E45 (L single-cabin)
WAS-BQN L-fare $309 4670PQM
BQN-HNL P-fare $1316 26934PQM
TOTAL $1624 31604PQM 5.13cpm
Seems like a waste to use a GPU as an RPU for the WAS-BQN segments, but better than letting them rot. And the 11h23m EWR-HNL is lay-flat. I haven't checked availability, but typically EWR-BQN is super easy.
Good luck!

That BQN-HML fare is amazing though. I am working in WAS right now that's why it's the home airport.
Needless to say I may be booking this right now assuming I can find the availability. Better CPM then running the DEL route.

Have a look at Brazil. Their W fare classes may have lowered alongside the rest of economy from the struggling economy and plummeting BRL. Ex-Brazil will definitely be cheap, so you can possibly also nest another roundtrip inside.
