UA: SFO need ~14,000 PQM and $1000 PQD

It seems I may be stuck at silver for next year unless I can find a couple of mileage runs before the end of the year. Any suggestions on two round trips that will get me ~7000 miles each roundtrip and $500 for each flight?

I've looked into doing the SFO to SIN trip but can't stomach sitting in Y for 14 hours.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

LAX-HNL-NRT-HNL-LAX for 12,700 miles and SFO-LAX-SFO for 1000 more. Nice long layover in HNL between long-hauls (and CPU possibility for the domestic leg). Plenty of SDC options inside of that if you need the 300 more miles (i.e., HNL-SFO-LAX or LAX-LAS-SFO). This can be done for $1000 or a bit more.

SJU day trip is $500 or so several days in December. For example,
SFO-ORD-SJU-IAH-SFO same day return 12/7 is $535, 7560 miles.
SFO-IAH-SJU-EWR-SFO out 12/12 return 12/13 is $435, 7815 miles.
Look for same day or next day return. BQN is similar in price.

I'm not seeing how to get the system to allow me to book this for a decent price. It seems like United wants me to fly direct flights. Adding NHL increases the price drastically. I'm a newbie at this so tips on how to book it would help.

I found $535 tickets but looks like the turn around time in SJU is only an hour. Does that sound correct?

Flights to SJU are the same as a domestic flight, so no reason why an hour shouldn't be sufficient if everything is on time.

I bet there is a good BAH run still available for about $1,000.
