Getting to CMB
 

With all the cheap QR deals out of CMB, anyone have any good suggestions on getting to CMB on the cheap? I'd prefer paid biz class but not seeing anything ex-USA sub $4500. Any thoughts on any other origins that may be cheap?

I see $3,500.. but I'm guessing not in the correct month for you?

I even see QR RT ORD-CMB for $4,059 in September? Sooo you wouldn't have to position? You'd just book & fly?

Most people are using miles to get to CMB

I would say fly to Mumbai, India from Chicago in business class.. generally around $2800. and then take a local flight from Mumbai to CMB- just couple of hours of flight- business class for $300.

I grabbed one ex-CMB QR biz fare this Fall, and paid my way to get to CMB with AA (via EY from FRA/AUH). Next time, I might just take CX's J fare from Tokyo to JFK since it's easier to buy tickets or use miles to Tokyo (if i need a decent price premium fare for my EXP requalification goal and never get tired of Tokyo :D).

All you need is that first one way with miles. All the other trips to CMB can be on the return legs of cheap ex-CMB round trips.
