Second time I've seen in a week that DFW-HKG outbound has been delayed by more than 8 hours. Yeesh

Any way to bring down the cost of internet on these flights? $20 per leg is a bit steep and since it's not GoGo the new AmEx plat vouchers won't do the trick

Between the new metal, MCE access, in flight wifi and layovers filled with rich food and drink at the centurion / cathay pacific lounges I could really get used to mileage running AA to Asia. Time for another round of chilaquiles and mimosas courtesy of AmEx!

$19 is actually very cheap given that it's the 8th longest flight in the world. Delta and United charge way more for intl wifi.

I have no clue. Really hope I don't have the same delay for my next flight put on Monday given my short turn around in HKG.

A few thoughts / tips so far that others may find useful:

(1) Remember that you can use your Global Entry for faster YYZ security
(2) Bring your GE card since you'll actually need it to use the Nexus kiosks on re-entry to CA
(3) The Four Points is literally a 5 minute walk from the AA checkin at Terminal 3 ^
(4) More than one person can share the same wifi login - just one device at a time
(5) The A319 on the YYZ-DFW route is pretty tight - even MCE was hard to bear

I booked back in January and put in my upgrades from then. The entire way home I didn't get upgraded as EXP. HKG-DFW-LAX-JFK (Apr 28th). What are the odds on all three legs didn't clear.... #expproblems

Ya tell me about it. I did 3 of these in April and not one of them went as planned. Aa138 seems to get cancelled more than not.

That's pretty frustrating and unusual for upgrades not to clear on all 3, but all 3 routes are pretty difficult to get upgraded on. As EXP I've been upgraded literally at the gate on both HKG- DFW and DFW- LAX.

In the past, you would have had an advantage on the upgrade list as you were transiting for your last 2 flights, but unfortunately that no longer gives you priority.
