UA SFO MR deals before March 1 program change
Hi, I'm looking for any mileage run deals from SFO (preferable weekend). Ideally before 3/1. Thanks!

More details are needed.
How many miles? US/TCON/TATL/TPAC? Visa or passport restrictions? |
Welcome to FlyerTalk nilspeder! I have edited the title for clarity. I think like many other UA flyers we will try to book as many MRs in the first two months of the year in order to get the RDMs on inexpensive fares.

No real restrictions, other than being able to be accomplished over the weekend (Friday evening to Monday morning). No real preference on geography. I have a Norwegian passport and Green card, so most places you can get visa free with a US passport, in addition to Brazil, would be an option.

UA:$412 SFO-SJU (San Juan, PR) 9286mi
So far, best I can find for a weekend is:
UA:$412 SFO-SJU (San Juan, PR) 9286mi 4.4cpm Sat 31 Jan UA1457 SFO-IAH 0604-1147 UA1423 IAH-EWR 1431-1900 UA1241 EWR-SJU 2001-0059(+1d) Sun 1 Feb UA1531 SJU-EWR 0056-0511 UA1494 EWR-IAH 0855-1205 UA1749 IAH-SFO 1255-1524 Doesn't sound so good, but may make more sense with more status. For example, if you're 1K, you get 100% RDM bonus...which means you're paying 2cpm for 18572RDM, and an additional 0.4cpm for 9286PQM (and 350 PQD). Significantly better than Accelerator rates. From Mar 1 on, you will be getting mileage based on PQD. So for 1K, it's 11x $350 = 3850RDM, or less than a quarter of the current model. So if 2cpm for 3850RDM, then that means 3.6cpm for 9286PQM. So PQM costs nine times as much! So even for an L-fare, it seems there is a huge difference flying before Mar 1. I'm not having much luck finding lower fares for longer distances. Best I see to Europe is to ARN and OSL (coincidentally)...which a Norwegian should have no problem with. :) Good luck! |
looking for some mileage runs here as well but no date restrictions
sfo-anywhere thanks |

Best I could come up with was SFO-HKG-GUM departing 13.25 Friday arriving Sunday 05.30. Then returning GUM-HNL-LAX-SFO, departing 07.00 Sun and arriving 08.25 Sunday thanks to crossing the date line. 15,888 miles at 5.6cpm. Not great but at least you rack up some miles. |

IAD-DXB is a 777 that you will want to kill yourself after flying 14 hours on. It's 3-3-3 in Econ and Econ plus and I think 4 bathrooms for over 200 seats in Y.
