Flight Changes
Many changes have been made due to Etihad schedule changes. In some cases, connecting flights are being swapped to nonstops. Some have been able to get this changed back by calling Etihad, others have not. You may have to repeat call / HUCA to get it switched back.

After about 3-4 hours (combined) on the phone with Orbitz, finally got my flights changed back to my original dates. After reading this thread, I actually got some better flight options (for mileage purposes) than I originally had. My non-stop DFW-AUH-DFW flights were canceled on day of travel. Now I have connections via AA DFW-CDG on the way out and JFK-DFW on the way back. Tried to get the return to go through CDG/FRA but they couldn't find opening.
Now I just need to figure out how to get miles applied to my AAdvantage account....

Noticing alot of people are being put on direct flight which could mean flights get full much faster
I've read alot of overbooked flights. Is there a way to verify that or anyone of you have experienced for these Sale

Overbooked flights can occur even when there is no associated "deal" or "glitch" depending on the route, season, and airline. It helps to select a seat ahead of time (whenever possible), check in early, and arrive at the airport with enough time to check that you have a confirmed seat on your flight.
With Etihad, you can select your seat ahead of time either through their website with your reservation number (if you booked directly through the airline) or by calling. You can also use their on-line booking tool to view which seats are available for your flights by going through the motions of creating a booking for the same flight without making the purchase.

i have registered for Etihad guest for my entire family.
I added Etihad loyalty no for each of my family members. Added me as Family Head.
Can i get Etihad guest points if I add the AAdvantage no in American leg?
Also do we get the points only if the travel is completed?

You only get miles upon travel being completed.
