LA to Vancouver mileage run

LA to Vancouver mileage run
It may not be strictly called a mileage run, since i need to got Vancouver for a day, but i'm trying to max out the mileage on the trip. I'm a Star Alliance UA Mileage Plus guy. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks!

Hard to say without knowing date, mileage goal, and other constraints. But if you're just looking for ideas, try flying thru AUS. (i.e. AX-IAH-AUS-SFO-YVR) Also, look at all the airports in the LA area, not just LAX.
