Yep it's dead from EWR. Waited too long to pull the trigger and lost my hold (and C opened up when I needed it too). I tried to push it through at it said the price had reverted to $1400+

It does look like UA is attacking AA though on this fare. On the dates I was looking DFW - ORD - HKG is $781 and as low as $731 on some days

UA can try to attack, but with their fares being non-upgradable using instruments it is not very appealing, at least to me.

Held a r/t for $803 on Friday and just ticketed it with a $300 VDB I got from DFW-MCI in December.

$500 r/t to HKG and all flights are confirmed in J/F! Looking forward to trying the new service.

This is NOT the way to get a mods attention as Mods can't be expected to read each & every post.

The best way to get a mod's attention is to use the report button feature in the far lower left corner of the post, it is the red triangle w/exclamation point in it. Click it & state your reasoning as to why the post/thread should be moderated, closed, re-titled, etc etc.

Just wanted to put this out there... going from $1400 -> $~700 and back is insane... I really had no idea that careful investigation of airfare could result in such a massive price difference!

Do you have dates that are working again for the $700 fare?

I had booked this ticket but seems will need to cancel it. Does anybody have access to fare rules for this ticket? Or how to look that up? I had booked SFO-DFW-HKG-DFW-SJC

IIRC, it has a $300 change fee. Can easily call up AA and ask them to look it up for you.

I was charged $250 - and the fare difference, of course.
