First MR - using AA from DFW base
 

I have never done an MR before, but I find I need 25k miles to retain EXP on AA. I have 5k already booked with holiday travel. I cannot find any EQM bonus deals (anywhere??). My home base is DFW. Is it even reasonably possible to get 20k miles - primarily on weekends - before the end of the year?

I booked a bunch of the DFW-MIA overnight turns personally. Bout the best I have been able to find from DFW.

In all fairness, that's 9 MRs for OPs needs, which is a bit much.

What about DFW to JNB through LHR? Long weekend turn and right about 20k miles. Edit: Can be had for about $1340 on BA with a Friday evening to Monday afternoon turn. I checked a few weekends in Nov. ~20,750 mi RT, ~5.9 CPM

I am in a very similar situation. I have never done a MR before and I am trying to earn 17.5k miles to retain Platinum on AA. My home base is DFW as well.

Do you guys think that JNB is my best option or can I save some money/time flying somewhere a bit closer? Primarily on weekends. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
