Help with SJC hitting A3 need 10,000 miles
Hi, I am looking for some help getting 10,000 on A3 (so thinking US Airways while it is still Star), flying out of SJC and can't really be gone overnight. Looking for several short daytime trips. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Can't help too much for short day trips, but two transcons to the northeast should do it. I would try nesting a lax-clt-bos or lax-phx-clt/phl-bos flight inside a sfo/sjc-lax flight twice.

Going to be a PITA without overnight with time zone (as you can only go North/South).
If you can overnight on a plane (red-eye but no lodging) and need Star - ZFV is your friend from SJC (with connection via LAX under 4 cpm). You can investigate the last Amtrak portion to determine if you need to endure the long lay-over in Philadelphia or not.

what is good in cpm?
edit....try sju stt hnl for a visit....w/orbitz, you can search a week at a time for a city pair & cover a month in ~ 15 min....try it....

Re; overnight, I meant that I would be able to do a redeye. Not really trying to visit anywhere in particular, just trying to get enough miles before US Air leaves star and so I can make my A3. Your Puerto Rico trip makes me want to stay, but I have kids at home.
