This is a SFO-PDX fare. So will not work from IAH.

Was able to book SFO-IAH-PDX return for $193 2.8 CMP 6920 EQM same day turn 10/19 and for a few bucks more $198 you can fly out 10/12 and return from PDX on the red eye via IAH again.

Thanks OP, not a bad run

A bit new to UA and mileage runs. How did you calculate the 6920 EQMs? I'm only getting 4010.

Exactly, thanks for clarifying.

UA wants to route you via multi city SFO-IAH-PDX-SFO ($164), but if you drop in PDX-IAH-SFO for the return it shows up with these options, yes you to pay about $30 more, but worth it for the extra EQM's. Dates looked scattered for same day return. Also look at booking as 2 one ways.

How is this a legal routing? I'm all for it, but I wonder what genius thought Houston is a logical connection point between SF and Portland. I don't think this was a legal route back in the old CO days.

Booked one way tik: PDX-IAH-SFO for $99.

After purchasing the tik, it said that I will earn 1,825 MileagePlus award miles. It didn't include the IAH-SFO miles. I am leery that i would fly IAH-SFO for nothing. Can anyone confirm that?

I booked the rt sfo-iah-pdx-iah-sfo and it says I'll earn the 6000+ miles. All good to go!

You'll get credit for what you fly I believe
