The trick is to drastically lower your expectations, preferably to zero!!!!
That's insane. I thought I was hardest but you beat to me to it. Don't forget the power of 1st or business class lounge access. Shower, eat, freshen up, shave, spa treatment, wifi access, work room (to catch up on meetings or work presentations) and you will not miss having a hotel bed on the MR.

I did ZFV-EWR-SFO-SAN-SFO-EWR-ZFV back-to-back-to-back-to-back for $670 (three day span) and took advantage of the shower facility right before the TSA secruity line in SFO. The last SFO turn was usually around 11pm and the Spa (which had the shower) facility charged ~$11 for 30 mins.

That I would NOT do(back to back to....) Although I supose the logic is the same and you certainly do not have to be in top performance mode sitting in a plane seat. I have flown real long flights in 1st,that sort of takes the sport out of it,going to bed in Auckland and waking up in LA sort of thing

Are not full in EC. But they are full in the back. I was lucky to get 3 seats and was able to sleep both ways . Do if you plan to go make sure you upgrade to a EC seat and then watch for empty seats. Good luck.
Sorry do you mean economy plus seating? How did the run go for you? It sounds like it will be a heck of a lone 14 hours in economy.

I disagree - if you want to see anything in Bahrain, you need a car - and driving there is much more civilized and safer, than for example, New York City.
This isnt Cairo.

Not once did I feel unsafe driving in the country.

Of course if one is just going to stay behind hotel walls, just take a taxi.

I'm doing DEN-SFO-LAX-IAD-KWI-BAH on 11/23-24 and BAH-KWI-IAD-EWR-LAX-DEN on 11/24-25, and I may book another. If anyone is on one of those flights, it'd be nice to meet you, PM me or something.

is it possible to print boarding pass for BAH-KWI before departure if you are on an immediate turn? Do you need it to go straight to transit?

I haven't done the BAH turn but I did the KWI a few times.

You can print the BAH-KWI-IAD before departure from IAD. While I try to print them, I also stop by the transit desk with a printout of my reservation. The gate security people at KWI, liked seeing the transit desk printed boarding passes MUCH better than the ones I printed in advance. In fact, the gate security guy led me to the transit desk for a reprint. BAH may be different but my best advice is to try and print them in advance but go by the transit desk anyway with your reservation printout for a reprint.

I have done a Lax- BAH and LAX- KWI

Much more in Kuwait to see and I walked around because needed to after long ride. I took a taxi in Bahrain and it was smarter, safer and easier. Not much to see in BAH. One day was fine for me. Long ride but the plane is full of contractors and military coming and going. If you have status you will get a E+ seat usually without someone next to you.

1) LAX-IAH-IAD-BAH-IAD-SFO-LAX |$712.70 |19,158 PQM
2) LAX-SFO-IAD-BAH-IAD-SFO-LAX | $714.20 | 19,508 PQM
3) LAX-IAH-IAD-BAH-IAD-IAH-LAX | $711.20 | 18,808 PQM

Just some examples of what is out there. I plan to overnight in order to see something, anything, during the day before the evening flight back.

There are lots of opportunities to massage the itinerary for a few more miles, especially the 500 mile minimums. e.g. I farelocked LAX-EWR-IAD-KWI-BAH-KWI-IAD-JFK-LAX 20,079 PQM for $715.80, 3.6 cpm. Now searching for positioning deals from MSY. Did the BAH run in April from IAH with a pleasant overnight in BAH.

How were you able to do this given that Hipmunk and UNITED are only able to display 6 segments?

To keep the number of segments down, I did a multi-segment on UA.com using LAX-EWR, EWR-KWI, KWI-BAH, BAH-KWI, KWI-JFK, JFK-LAX. You just have to experiment and have patience!

Gotcha. The regional jet flights may be prone to delay/cancellation in inclement weather so keep that in mind. Also, watch the connection times. I decided on LAX-SFO-IAD-BAH-KWI-IAD-LAX $710.50 for 19,117 PQM with an overnight in BAH. I think I will be tired on the return and just want to get home.

1 Adults (age 18 to 64) $199.00
Taxes/Fees $511.50
Total $710.50

The base far is ridiculous.
