looks like ~$24 more for a Friday departure. Anyone able to ticket in the fall / winter?

AA flight numbers can be held, I've done this with flights on AS booked with an AA flight number.
The problem is that the DFW-EZE segments have 4M flight numbers. I can't put a hold on them and I have been searching for any 4M flights on that route that have AA numbers but found nada.

btw thanks for finding all this TheBOSman

I have three on hold, including one for Memorial Day. Positioning flight might be a for that one so I might choose another date.

Nothing unfortunately, I could really use anything beyond August . I'd have to quit my job to book this, and it isn't THAT good .

How to force SCL stopovers on way to IPC?

Thanks OP and others, I have several of these on hold for Shark family.

How are you guys forcing stopovers at SCL on the IPC fare?

When I break the journey at SCL it breaks the fare and I can't get it to price out reasonably.

The best I can do is an OJ, JFK-MIA-SCL and back IPC-SCL-MIA-JFK in April for $950 a.i. I mean, still good, but if it could be stopped over at SCL both ways that would be even better.

I cannot get ITA to pull up the fare rules for JFKIPC, so can't provide any help. The JFKSCL fare does allow 2 stopovers (also second one is $125), so I'd assume this would too.

I am trying to get 10-14 hours in MIA on the way back.

NYC-DFW-MIA-SCL
SCL-MIA (10-14 hours to explore little of Miami) - NYC

Impossible?

Thanks, that ends my search for the holy grail then.
I guess best we can do is JFKSCL and IPCSCLJFK as open jaw.
Not worth it. And bummer I still cannot find availability in Nov/Dec. I can find the "I" bucket but notwithstanding what the fare says, the low price isn't available.
