[FARE GONE] AA: BOS-GIG $559 RT AI, 4.1 cpm possible

Update 2: Fare gone, up to $774 now.

Update:

Only MCO-GIG remains for around $450. However, it is available on both AA and UA. Credit to several others for finding the UA match.

Original post:

Best routing from BOS is BOS-DFW-GIG and same return, adding stops doesn't seem to help the cpm much, IF AT ALL. Similar fare available from NYC, slightly more for LAX origins. Most likely many other US cities available as well but I don't have the time to check all of them. Saturday night stay, or 3 night stay required. Fare, at least ex-BOS, is almost wide open through the beginning of June. Books into O (which DOES earn EQM/RDM on AA, the old rule is no longer in effect).

Warning: A visa is required for Brazil for those traveling on US passports. Costs $160-180, MUST be applied for in advance (allow at least two weeks).

Actually don't need a Saturday night stay -- if you pay a few dollars more -- $609

Great find! I was still playing around with the DUS-GIG fare, but this would be much easier to take advantage of for me. $523 a.i. from RDU.

Good call, will edit. It is either a Saturday night, or a 3 night stay. This is what I get for posting late with lots of other things to do!

Is a visa still required if you are in transit? So instead of entering Brazil, you just transfer?

Yes. You'll most likely be denied boarding without a visa, if it is required.

I saw that when I was looking for other cities, multiple other cities (such as SEA) kept coming up as SEA-MCO then MCO-RIO fares combined (perfectly allowable just to add). Didn't put too much time in on it (I have other things I really should be doing ).

- It is $423 a.i. roundtrip if you originate in GIG (i.e., GIG-RDU).
