[FARE GONE] DL/US/AA/UA: LAX/SFO-JFK-SJU from $303 ai RT 3.87cpm
Just found lots of dates in April, comes out to 8136 miles.Here is a sample booking I found, and yes there is a 10 hour layover.

Looks like a US match thorough PHL.

ed. Not as wide open as I first thought, but I see some 1/0 night availability in April/May

Likewise, I loved to stay in SJU for 2-3 days every time I could. However just yesterday I heard on the news that Puerto Rico crime rate is higher than the Mexico. Country is going down. It is said.

Yep, just like you did long weekends. In my case Scuba diving. Like anywhere else their are safe areas and not safe. Felt safe wherever I was, in fact I feel safe in Mexico too.

Would like to make this work for a true MR. Can't do back to back as the return gets in at 10:20 and the outbound (for the 2nd trip) departs at 9:30... If I could make this work with schedules I would but unfortunately the only 3 consecutive days I'm seeing conflict with another trip. :-/

UA has similar mid-week fares on this route through April. Layovers in SJU as short as 5 hours. Sample fares for 4/23 - 4/24 of $296 with 7448 miles ($0.397/mile).

Is it possible to get a stop over in NYC on the way back at the same price....?
Or can I land in NY and go to the delta counter and reschedule for a later flight?

This isa fare from the West Coast, so its not an issue of "making it work" from JFK. Delta has plenty of fares around this price and less to San Juan from NYC, though not a mileage run cpm.
