Need 7,000 EQMs on United in December...

Can't find any real good fares, is there anything out there? It needs to originate in either IAD or BOS. Preferred dates are 12/26-27, but I *MIGHT* be able to do something between 12/17-20.

Any help?

I'm currently on a BOS-SFO-PSP-LAX-PHX-IAH-BOS MR, taking up about a day and a half and getting me 7k-ish EQM at about 5cpm. You might check if this is still a reasonable fare (it priced as a multi-city BOS-PSP + PSP-PHX + PHX-BOS) and/or if it's still available for the dates you'd want to use. 7k EQM is a somewhat unfortunate breakpoint; it's too many for most transcons, even convoluted ones, but too few for going to Alaska or Hawaii (which tend to require significantly more time and expense).

Other good fares to Southern CA can be found in Dec. 17-20 for <$400, i.e. BOS-SAN. These are same day turns, so you might consider one of these coupled with a shorter hop on a second day.

Thanks for the tips, seems like the SoCAL fares are only great on 12/17. And there is NOTHING on 12/26-27, has anyone found anything on those dates?

Finding anything that close to Christmas and New Year's Eve is difficult.

I need 5800 miles on UA, been eyeing the 14th/15th as my preferred dates. Here is what i have found as PIT being my origin. Maybe this helps. Seems LAS currently best target destination. Anyone have any thoughts on my predicament is appreciated.

12/14-12/14
PIT-DCA-LAS-CLT-PIT: $340, 4561, 7.4 CPM

12/15-12/15
PIT-ORD-LAS-IAH-ORD-PIT: $326, 4656, 7 CPM

12/14-12/15
PIT-ORD-LAS-IAD-PIT: $324, 4570, 7.1 CPM

12/13-12/14
PIT-IAH-LAS-CLE-PIT: $322, 4660, 6.9 CPM

12/17-12/18
PIT-IAH-LAS-EWR-PIT: $282, 5060, 5.6 CPM

As you can see i can't quite get to 5800 miles on these trips..

I'm already requal'd this year & out of PIT. But for the past few years I was able to do a bunch of segment hops through US and UA hubs on the East Coast and Midwest. I was able to get 6-7 segments in a day, starting early and ending late - hopping through IAD, BOS, IND, MCI, PHL, and ORD, for example.

I ended up locking in:
12/17-12/18
PIT-EWR-LAS-EWR-PIT: $283.20, 5440 (w/ 500 min.), 5.2 CPM

which leaves me at: 42496+5440 = 47936.

which is annoying because if it were <=2000 then i could just find a near PIT as you suggest, and go 500-500-500-500, but alas i need slightly more than that, 2064.

the accelerator stuff is not EQM is it?

not sure if you can get in on the current G fare madness to ABQ from PIT, but worth a look as it could get you close if you can route thru IAD or CLE and DEN on a two stopper.

It was offering me 12,000 miles for $372. Not sure what the EQM rate would be. But I'm assuming it could up to 10cpm or $1,200.

For EQM people are getting offers of around 30 cpm now (this factors in the price of the RDMs that you have to buy in order to get the EQMs).

Can you fly this weekend?

BOS-PHL-MAN-PHL-BOS on US will net you just over 7,000 miles for under $850

IAD/BOS-SEA-ANC-SEA-BOS/IAD on 12/26 will get you just over 7,000 miles for about $900.

I know my options (above) may cost a little more than doing two or three little trips. But This close to YE two or three little trips can become two or three disasters with IROPS and cause you to miss the rest of the MR's. One and done I say!

Good luck.

BWI-SAN on Dec 16 or 17 is $250 for 4,883 miles on US. Leaves you with about 2,100 miles to make up on another trip.
