People, please edit/use the wiki so same questions are not always asked.

The current CTA decision on the Yangon deal is only for tickets canceled by SWISS Airlines for the seven merged complaints/companions and tickets canceled by Jet Airways for one complainant and companions
- It's not about other carriers because each carrier submits different tariffs.
- If you are not one of the complainants or their companions above who were mentioned in the respective cases, you need to submit a case yourself for hearing.
- There's currently one person who is on Iberia for CTA decision, one can either wait for results or submit a complaint to CTA.

Result of the current case for LX in brief is:
- CTA found 5(F) in the tariff used to be unclear for canceling tickets on erroneously quoted fares.
- 5(F) is unjust and unreasonable and must be revised or taken down by July 9, 2013 (or SWISS can appeal by then)
- SWISS did not use its tariff correctly to cancel the tickets.
- SWISS must compensate one complainant's First Class ticket and any related expenses by July 18, 2013 provided with evidence.
- SWISS must transport other complainants (and their companions) in the original price charged with same booking class and routing by June 18, 2014.

Result of the current case for 9W in brief is:
- Tariff on file had no clauses for "erroneous fares" and was updated subsequently, which means it is not relevant to this event
- Therefore, 9W is to reinstate the tickets with a 1-year validity for transport between the same points and the same booking class.

CTA official news can be read here for general overview of the case.

Actual CTA case review can be found here for reference should you wish to file a complaint.

If you have a similar case that's with SWISS, you need to file with CTA to get a result through informal process first before it gets to formal process. The entire procedure can take up to 3 months for each and the result may not be same cause it's case-by-base and the reviewer of the case can be different.

To file an informal complaint with CTA, see here. Click through all of the pages to get to the online form for the informal complaint. Or click here.

To file a formal complaint after informal complaint has been closed, see here. Continue on to the next page to see the address or email address for the formal complaint.

The July 17th and 18th responses from LX can be found here:

Remember, the DOT never forced ANYONE to honor these fares in the past, they just made it the more attractive option vs paying the high fines
What makes you think DOT wont keep making it unattractive?. Really you would have thought the airlines and the TA's would have done something by now to put some controls over this.

Why you count so much in DOT? When Travelocity canceled the NFB2012 tickets they just said they can't do anything, thats it. Useless Organisation.

I know eh? I wanted to overnight in ZRH on another fare and I was like, holy crap. I looked up Amex FHR properties and it was even more amusing
It is very interesting, may be worth monitoring as it could indicate future "opportunities"!

Unfortunately, I am only able to see it on Travelocity and even it shows HAN-FRA but when I click "View" it shows the RGN-HAN. VN, which uses virtuallythere.com says it needs an e-mail address on the reservation.

Should I contact travelocity about this or VN so I can confirm booking/print e-tickets?

Thanks.

Exactly what connection is there between the NFB code that (assumingly) 99.9% of the people here used against the T&C of that offer (being only directed to attendees of the NFB convention) and the purchase of ex RGN tickets that comply with all parts of the DOT regulation providing they touch US Soil?

Those of use from Round 1 who got their KE Tickets reinstated would probably all be in agreement that it is everything but a useless organization.

If you expect the DOT to help you with coupon codes you cheated your way to then it is indeed not the right contact point though. @:-)

OT: TV changed the T&C later. Before there was no word in there, that only attendees of the convention can use it, so nobody used the coupon in a way he was not allowed too.

+1 on that, because DOT HAVE said that their regs cover mistake fares and they have shown that they are serious. They have never made that suggestion about promo codes.

Same argument was used with the united 4 miles. Personally, I don't get it. A ticket is a ticket, no matter if you paid it with miles, promo codes or magic beans. If DOT or anyone else wants to rank it by the payment method its a very slippery slope.

And at least it was part payed by creditcard. If you are sure DOT will do something, ok, good. But after my experience I'm not so sure with that.

Interesting. Did you ever see any T&C or did you take the code from FT or gleff's blog?

OT: The T&C was published at "gleff's blog" and there was no word about what TV said later. I asked TV several times to send me the T&C that say that the code was just for members, but they didn't send it to me.
The DOT just believed TVs lie and didnt bother them, even everybody hold a valid ticket before and paid money from their creditcards.

The last 5 LX flights I have been on (HKG and BKK) have all been full and since I was monitoring the availability it appeared as though each time it was full with revenue pax. I think LX is one of the few airlines who actually sell a lot of F seats.

31570324 - could you perhaps do a lot of readers a favour and not post in the "Silver" colour in future? The low contrast makes your statements incredibly difficult to read.

It is clearly going to depend on route and vary by season. The YUL route is particularly light on but it seems Asia is better. My BKK-ZRH and vv had a full cabin in one direction and 5/8 in the other. YUL was 2 in one and 4 in the other.

Involve the BBB and also the Attorney General's office

Great link though, really appreciate it.
Don't worry about such things!

There is also the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office which you should complain to @:-)

Do first submit a complaint to the BBB!
