People, please edit/use the wiki so same questions are not always asked.

The current CTA decision on the Yangon deal is only for tickets canceled by SWISS Airlines for the seven merged complaints/companions and tickets canceled by Jet Airways for one complainant and companions
- It's not about other carriers because each carrier submits different tariffs.
- If you are not one of the complainants or their companions above who were mentioned in the respective cases, you need to submit a case yourself for hearing.
- There's currently one person who is on Iberia for CTA decision, one can either wait for results or submit a complaint to CTA.

Result of the current case for LX in brief is:
- CTA found 5(F) in the tariff used to be unclear for canceling tickets on erroneously quoted fares.
- 5(F) is unjust and unreasonable and must be revised or taken down by July 9, 2013 (or SWISS can appeal by then)
- SWISS did not use its tariff correctly to cancel the tickets.
- SWISS must compensate one complainant's First Class ticket and any related expenses by July 18, 2013 provided with evidence.
- SWISS must transport other complainants (and their companions) in the original price charged with same booking class and routing by June 18, 2014.

Result of the current case for 9W in brief is:
- Tariff on file had no clauses for "erroneous fares" and was updated subsequently, which means it is not relevant to this event
- Therefore, 9W is to reinstate the tickets with a 1-year validity for transport between the same points and the same booking class.

CTA official news can be read here for general overview of the case.

Actual CTA case review can be found here for reference should you wish to file a complaint.

If you have a similar case that's with SWISS, you need to file with CTA to get a result through informal process first before it gets to formal process. The entire procedure can take up to 3 months for each and the result may not be same cause it's case-by-base and the reviewer of the case can be different.

To file an informal complaint with CTA, see here. Click through all of the pages to get to the online form for the informal complaint. Or click here.

To file a formal complaint after informal complaint has been closed, see here. Continue on to the next page to see the address or email address for the formal complaint.

The July 17th and 18th responses from LX can be found here:

Not a smart decision. Depending on the carrier they might delete duplicate reservations. LH does this for example.

In the OP's case I would hold onto the booking under SQ stock. They have a better history of honoring fares than LX IMHO.

This is the logic that many of us use here. Feel free to disagree, but this mindset has worked for many of us for over a decade.
That was what I was trying to get at. The fact is that mistake fares are refundable after purchase, so thus I was tired of answering "Oh, I have two tickets and I have to cancel one" and "Does TL charge cancellation fees for this."

I seriously have no idea how that post ended up as it is. Again, long story.
I guess I'm very bad at explaining things like this.

I just got denied my visa application at the embassy in Bangkok. Tried to get 1 day pickup for my ticket later thus month. The counter person must have been having a bad day and just kicked me out of the line.

Express service is available for those that need it. If your flight is later in the month, you should have done the regular 3 day visa.

Ask a friend to go to the embassy for you and try it again. Or did they take a record of your application? Even if, probably it's not being processed fast enough if you do the same day visa.

3) Interline premium of 15% is added

4) If the result is lower than the highest fare taken for consideration it is adjusted to highest fare level.

Now IATA definitely screwed up a very big thing here, as all IATA fares & rules are derived from votings by member airlines Let's see what's gonna happen.
How ironic, the fares are to YUL...

My trip is at the end of October but I would like to confirm everything since I am a newbie at mileage runs.

I booked using travelocity.com for skyteam flight with
FNVWTT for Vietnam Airlines: RGN-HAN, HAN-FRA
GH7LXG for Delta: FRA-ATL, ATL-YUL

The segments HAN-FRA, FRA-ATL, and ATL-YUL show up in my delta account and the first segment is missing.

I have tried virtuallythere and it says I need an e-mail address assigned. I have tried http://202.176.221.202/ but it says Invalid RLOC/Last Name.

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

I might pay a visit to IATA headquaters and thank them. It only seems appropriate.

Leaving Bangkok tomorrow vs. flying to Burma tomorrow, that would have qualified you for an express visa, are two different things.

I have received very good service at the visa section. One of the consuls even gave me his business card to give him a call if I am cutting it close and he will do his best to make it work.

Except that I booked the EX ticket 1-day later than the TL ticket.

Delta won't necessarily see the RGN-HAN flight as it doesn't connect to any of their services. If you can see the flights through VN and Travelocity then you are fine.

Well, Sean, I feel badly about how that worked, but I am glad that I did not wake up early this morning. I am in the same situation as you are - ticket for November but doing a quick run through Bangkok and was kind of hoping to get my visa in one day today. I also leave BKK tomorrow and was originally going to head over to Sathorn today to try for a one-day express. I live in New Jersey, so last night I decided to just do the visa in NYC. I was kind of regretting that decision today until I read your post. Good luck!

I will try other channels to get the visa. I usually have a service handle these for me anyway.

I didn't want to press the issue or call a super. He was obviously having a bad day... and I have no desire to have them remember me in a bad situation. So, when he handed back my passport and paperwork and told me to leave, I did.

The whole interaction took about 20 seconds. Very poor form for people in this position to pull power trips. They should be accustomed to first time visitors' questions.

I don't see how that has influence on any decision in this process but I stick to my theory of SQ being the better bet here.
