Exclamation Kayak.com explore menu and month flex

I think kayak.com might be on to something and will really help us find mile runs! I wrote about it in my blog today

When Double-Wides Fly: Kayak.com Adding New Features http://www.whendoublewidesfly.com/20....html?spref=tw

But real point is they added a flexible month search AND an explorer tool. It's like what buzz use to be but better!!!

The Holy Grail would be a cpm-sorter incorporated into the Explorer map.

The explore tool doesn't highlight all cities and only displays results found by others. Nothing compared to ITA

I guess it's nice if you like to look at a map

yes only shows fares found by others. It's like the old kayak.com/buzz which is no longer active. But good searching tool none the less!

Kayak Buzz was decent but you're right only showed other people's searches. We need the farecompare.com/flyertalk tool back

Ditto this.
Miss the farecompare.com/flyertalk tool. Is it ever coming back? What happened to it?

skyscanner.com is another option, although it does not have the bells and whistles like farecompare.

In Warsaw, Kayak Buzz was working today under United Kingdom and GBP currency. Once I changed it to USA, it took me to the Explore webpage and nowhere was the Buzz. Under UK, I was able to use Buzz with USA airports and the prices were in Pounds. Must be restricted by pressure from US airlines?

Getaway Maps Still Active for International

http://www.farecompare.com/maps/

Pretty robust upgrade from previous version, maybe they want FT-ers to migrate here.

Still... not a sortable spreadsheet though.

This is a nice visual concept, however some of the bells and whistles don't work. If you choose an aline to narrow it down, it still shows every other ones.
