AA: LAX-ORD $177 ai (fare match/drop 1/31)

Plenty of same-day return from Jan to Feb 14, looks like a match to V America

Not as good as a few weeks ago, but still good. You can also do SFO - ORD for the same price and 2.9 cpm.

SFO-LAX-ORD will net you even more, but it's impossible to do a same day return for that with AA's current route schedule.

First post here and first mileage run booked!

SFO -> LAX -> ORD, ORD -> DFW -> SFO: $240.50

Looks like I won't get double miles for the ORD -> DFW leg, but figured as it was the same cost I might as well.

I'm not sure you'll get any DEQMs if you don't have the same leg on both trips (either both LAX-ORD, or both LAX-DFW). I could be wrong though, but that's my understanding.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you'll get ANY DEQMs for that routing. I believe the promotion requires a RT flight from SFO/LAX - ORD/DFW. This looks like it'll net you 4511 miles at 5.3 cpm. You'd be better off just booking a RT SFO-ORD ticket for 7384 miles.

AA will let sometimes let you cancel your ticket if you do it within 24 hours so you might want to do so...

I think you should *email* (not call) AA and find out if this qualifies. Like the other responses, I am running under the assumption that it doesn't...but as always, the T&C are far from clear. If you can get a response (even incorrect) in writing that a specific PNR qualifies, then you can go back and ask for credit.

In addition to the DEQM, the following 10% discount code may come in handy for some:
10% to LAX - 01/16/12 - 01/25/12 = 4412AZ
Of course, the flights have to be to LAX from either ORD or DFW not originating there.

Thankfully I just reserved the fare initially. Changed it to SFO/LAX/ORD both ways to be sure.

I assume there is currently no code for flight orginated from LAX, right? :-(

Here's a code to ORD that might be useful: 5% to ORD - 01/23 -12 - 01/25/12 = 3212AV

That sucks, I just finished a ORD-LAX-SFO-ORD flight this week and have another one next week.
