Matrix routing (3+ stops)

Hi all,

Can you please help me with advanced routing codes?
I'd like to find flights with 3 or more stops from AAA to BBB:
option a: no airline prefered
option b: *A

Thanks in advance.

If you want 3 stops enter:

Thanks!

three X is max.?
I tried 5x UA and it's working, but not with X.

I believe it's N N N+, signifying three or more flights on any carrier, while N N N signifies three flights only.

Correct. It's working. But what if you need five legs? I didn't find any code for this... With N N N+ you will get only 4 legs in 99,9% :)

Most carriers won't allow 5 legs in each direction. If they do, simply requesting 5 legs often isn't enough because ITA gets overwhelmed and freaks out. Instead try specifying specific connections. For example, if I wanted to fly IAH-EWR-HNL-GUM-NRT-SIN I should enter EWR HNL GUM NRT in the advanced routing code field.

Five legs exactly is simply N N N N N, five or more is N N N N N+. Though few airlines offer five stop routings (CO's Island Hopper being a notable exception).
