AA had about $375 EW fare earlier this year. Granted it's not a B fare, they allowed routing via ORD so the total EQM wasn't much less than this B fare. With AA anyfare eVIP, one would be able to confirm the upgrade at booking. So, this might seem like a good fare to UA people, its hardly one to EXPs being spoiled by AA pretty sad.

I'm sorry for the nube question. What are the rules for B fare? I noticed that it was not refundable, but can one change the date without penalties?

The change fee is CNY 1500.

Complete newbie question, but is there any real way to take advantage of this fare if you are originating from the US?

One-ways from LAX -> PVG seem to be in the $970 range.

Award ticket? 32,500 mi one way and one the return you can earn 6500-13000 of it back, along with 10k or so EQMs for $375. Precisely what I WANT to do.......

Perhaps even more mileage recovery/earning with creative routing.

Good Deal...

Remember - same as DME/SVO, you need a visa if you stay more than 48 hours.

Also, for SFO (If you will use award), it seems it is best you buy 2 segments separately.
