I just saw these on fare compare and bought two HNL-EWR-HNL one in September (so I can be at the 10th anniversary of 9/11) and one in December (so I can see the tree in Rockefeller Center). These are better prices than I ever got last year, which was about $560.

Can someone comment on the UDU policies for CO on routes to Hawaii? I think I remember that EWR-HNL is not included in UDU, but it is my understanding that IAH-HNL would be included in UDU. I know things might change later on down the road, but please confirm or correct my current understanding.

[I don't want this thread to get too off-topic about that whole aspect, just thought it would be helpful for people to choose a routing for this fare]

Not just HNL, but all islands. :D

$500 mke-hnl

Very widespread

It was hard to find a Mainland city that doesn't take part in this deal. Some better, some worse. In most cases, but not all, neighbor islands are ~$50 more A/I.

Overall, one of if not the best UAL Hawaii sale in several years.

+1

Completely agree. I haven't seen prices this low in a while. I already booked 2 more round trips after posting above so now I have 4 RTs and will be 100,000 EQMs by the end of the year. :D

GSO-HNL/OGG pricing out to about $520 ai. I might have to use a $400 VDB voucher for this...thanks for posting! ^

Correct, EWR-HNL does NOT get UDU. But LAX-HNL does.

CO/UA Sale - East Coast to HNL ($500-525)

Smaller cities appear to be in on this CO/UA fare sale to HNL too; FareCompare shows very low fares from BTV, RDU, BUF, PVD, MDT, ALB etc. (note that summer months are $100 - $150 more). Examples, looking at late Sept/early Oct:

EWR-HNL $500
BOS-HNL $525
BTV-HNL $525
ALB-HNL $525

Works out to about 5.0 CPM which is almost a MR nowadays; not sure about stay requirements, but fares seem to go into Oct/Nov/Dec.

Thank you for posting. Bought two round trip tickets: one to KOA and another one to LIH. I am more excited about this than DEQM SFO-ORD!

Wonder if AA will now match?

Wish LAS was 345. Even LAX is 430+.
