hmm.. something interesting i just found for crediting miles. if you're able to confirm A class on these tickets, you could potentially get double RDM if crediting Agean.
According to Agean's website, Turkish "A" class is considered First Class which is 200% Accrual. + what's even better is that you only need 20K to get *Gold!!!

"Once you have collected 16,000 miles within one year from the date which you qualified to the Blue status, you will receive the Gold Card."
So, if i interpret this correctly then you essentially need to fly 1 way from HKG-LAX to hit * Gold because HKG-IST-LAX nets nearly 12,000 miles * 2 for the bonus. Am I right? Could one really get *Gold for $400?

23.6k miles, Premium Economy (U fare), 150% M&M, 100% MP. Bookable on Expedia (ex: jun 22-30, restrict search to Turkish and Premium Economy). For some extra (~$950 ai) you can get UA B fare for LAX-IST. Book before/on May 18.

Well, end up I got myself a HKG-LAX-HKG as well, now I am hoping to find a cheap LAX-YYZ-LAX later on. (The price is still not as good as HKG-YYZ-HKG on A2RTHK) But this one is good for extra miles...

If I can book it in A class and I can get extra 50% eqm bonus with onepass, that's almost as good as a RT in U class, which only earns 100% EQM. Less flying but only 50% less EQM. I think I might consider doing a one-way.

I can't seem to find the non-stop TK flight from IST-LAX if I want a stopover in IST (this is for O/W). TK site won't show that flight and XP is displaying astronomical prices. Am I doing something wrong?

Check your schedule, if I remember correctly IST-LAX TK9 only have flight on Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun.
