The real cowboys are probably out there too.. who have taken advantage of the fare and not said much about it. They need not boast about what they have, and will basically fly on the date as booked and not make any changes unecessarily. Or have a back up plan.

Thank you.
So what is Flyer Talk Forums for????

Referring to a FTer who is starting HKG-IST-LAX on the 28th (May?)

Rebound: How will you book other legs if this fare is gone?

Positioning flights. Thank you. That clears it up.

Also see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/16463087-post60.html I just hope there is another database can look up the tail # for the flights. Perhaps there is a pattern...

Knock on wood, smooth sailing on all my pervious mistake fares. Our 1-way is not until next March, just might have to use miles for our reposition flight.

"RTW" with my boys was the main reason that we bought these. Thanks, OP!

But remember, each person is different.... especially with TK's notorious record of changing aircrafts....

Right, but we can start accumulating stats to see what happens. How often aircraft are swapped, what happened to those in Comfort Class when their aircraft was swapped to an F/C/Y config, etc.

Did anybody actually ever make a list of everyone that is flying and what dates, etc?

Just Got off my hkg-ist leg. Was seated in comfort class. In one sentence - the seat is almost as good as UA's old business class bacalounger, food and service is really mostly economy class. At Istanbul airport now and there's no star gold lounge!

It looks like there were another 3 of us on the HKG-IST on May 28, but we didn't spot saaws, we'll look for him on the IST-LAX
.
Service, food, AV comfort were very good in comfort class.

We flew our orig dates so can't comment on changes. The only downside is being loungeless in IST, even with *G, because the THY lounge is under construction until about end June and only C class gets an alternate lounge.
Happy travels.

Do you happens to remember what's the tail # of your flight? And were you booked on 1-2-1 or 2-3-2 config?
