n00b advice - transforming one leg into a mini-MR
Hey guys,
I'm still trying to figure out how to get into true mileage runs, but an opportunity just came up to get my feet wet: I have to do DEN-NYC on 4/23 coming back on 4/27 as early as possible.
I'm trying to do it on CO metal to get better odds of getting upgraded. The leg back needs to be non-stop since I have to be in NYC during the day on Tuesday and be in Denver in the morning on Wednesday.
I found direct flights on CO flying out on a Q fare saturday morning and coming back on a W fare Wednesday. I have time on saturday to do a MR, so I'd like your help constructing it. How can I maximize the miles on the DEN-EWR trip as much as possible?
Thanks.

Don't worry if it's CO metal or UA metal - they status match now, so you can pick whichever status fits the metal.
