You can try MLE, it's just as difficult to get there on *A as SEZ. Also, MLE has a shorter flight from DOH than SEZ.

That was my first thought, but I think the weather is supposed to be better in the Seychelles in May than in the Maldives, where it would be more likely to get some rain.

I'll look into it again. Oddly a K fare is 100EUR more to MLE than to SEZ. Flights are similar in duration anyway, 4h30 - 4h50.

Moderators, please update the title? The sale is now on (only available April 13 & 14).

They've clarified the US position in the rules:

Bookings from Houston, Washington DC and New York with final destination Doha not permitted. All destinations from these cities beyond Doha are permitted
