Worth making a run for it?
 

Just hit 1P for the first time. Happy with that, but now that I see the progress bar towards 1K... well, I'm thinking about it.

I have 6 trips scheduled through the end of the year. 2 have flights booked, so that's 4 segs. I have to use corporate travel, but can add in connections, netting me 16 segs for the remaining four trips. Assuming nothing else comes up, that leaves me with 29 segs to hit 1K before the end of the year.

I'm in O'Hare and obviously doing UA/*A.

Can anyone give me a ballpark idea of what it would cost to try to hit 29 segs through segment runs? I've never done one before, so before I start trying to look up flights, figured I'd see if I can get a rough idea what it would cost out of pocket to try to hit 1K this year.

in the past, people have done seg runs for as low as $30/seg during some promos, but i think it would be a good deal at $50 in todays market, so maybe $1500 & up?....look at current specials...good luck...

Based in ORD, you have very good fares starting from MKE. Less than $200 for the MKE-PIT fares or MKE-LGA fares with 8 segments. All doable in the same day. Avarage is around $25/segment. You can have upto 32 segments for less than $800. Try ITA for ruotings.
