Need 10k on *A from SIN
 

Hi everyone,

New to this whole concept of mileage runs, but I need appx 10k to get to Gold on CO... any ideas how I can do this cheaply from SIN? Any help would be appreciated!

You need to define cheaply. UA has some attractive fares to the US West coast; booked thru UAL.com/sg. Just picked up a SIN-SEA RT, two weeks out, for around 1000 USD. Not sure about minumum stay requirements.

As cheaply as possible. Also I would need to do it over a weekend (Fri-Sun)... I've been searching through this forum and it is thoroughly confusing... if someone could explain how you find these incredible mileage run fares I'd really really appreciate it!

I need about 9000 miles
 

I have CO too, but any Star Alliance airline will do. I need 9000, leaving from Germany, Dubai, or Bahrain, but going to SIN is way too expensive. Let me know if you find anything.

try other asian cities
 

Look at NRT, HKG , PEK or PVG; also, while expensive, use a B fare and you get 150% miles for it--that helps to really pile them up. At times, weekends to Mumbai or Dehli can be "reasonable" on a "B" fare.

Keep flying between SIN-NRT-TPE-NRT-SIN for 2 weekends... you should get 10K EQM...

1st ticket SIN-NRT on UA (outbound)
2nd ticket NRT-TPE-NRT on NH
1st ticket NRT-SIN on UA (inbound)
