ITA Matrix code for alliances?

In the ITA matrix 2 search tool, is there a routing code to restrict results to one of the major frequent flier alliances? (matrix.itasoftware.com)

I wish there was, but don't believe there is.

Yeah, I don't remember there being one. When I was travelling often on Skyteam, I used to just use for example DTW::NW+,CO+,DL+

Of course, you are trying to throw us off-balance, because we know that you actually used NW,CO,DL+ :)

Another way

Instead of typing the airlines for each leg you can list the airlines at the end. Example for *A:

/ airlines JP AC CA NZ NH OZ OS KF BD SN CO OU MS LO LH SK FM SQ SA JK LX JJ TP TG TK UA US

Obviously you need to keep this up to date (CO soon to be gone.)

A restriction can now be placed by alliance using the "/ alliance <alliance>" limiter in the advanced routing codes, where <alliance> is;
  • star-alliance
  • oneworld
  • skyteam

Abbreviations for the above would be most welcome.

Is this no longer working for anyone else? Trying to use "/ alliance <star-alliance>" doesn't work for me.

Still works. Don't put <> around star-alliance and I don't think abbreviations work.

You should use / alliance star-alliance, ie, no <>.
