Ran into a snafu -- I was trying to book a one-way ICN 8:10p - HNL 9:00a (the only flight available for the low price in May, I think), HNL 11:05p - LAS 7:45a at the end of May and got this booking error:

Booking Engine Error - ERR1036

Incorrect Departure/Arrival Time
There is a problem with our reservation system. Please contact our Web Support Center for further assistance and provide the agent with the following Error Code.

ERR1036

We apologize for the inconvenience.

If I change to the earlier HNL-LAS flight, it goes to the pricing page fine. Unfortunately, that leaves me with only a few hours in HNL and an arrival in LAS at 11:10pm, which is not ideal for me. I've tried several dates, and the red-eye HNL-LAS flight always gives the error.

Kind of a bummer, because I had worked out an F award one-way to ICL and was ready for a nice little vacation over Memorial Day weekend.

Don't worry, I won't call their Web Support Center, although I think this is a legit fare.

Edited to add:

I found a third option two days later that doesn't error out and forces an overnight in HNL -- same ICN-HNL flight, but a next-day HNL 8:00a - LAS 4:50p, so I get 23 hours in HNL. Better, although I was planning on using 3 days of vacation, not 5. I'll probably take a red-eye from LAS and get into work late Thursday morning after a night of carousing in Vegas. Well, as much carousing as a man my age does.

Edited to add more:

The HNL-LAS flight I'm taking is a two-class Boeing 767-300 and the seats are three rows of 2-2-2 recliner domestic FC with personal TV. According to SeatGuru, HA has two versions. In version 1, row 1 is green because of extra legroom due to the bulkheads and row three has limited recline but is not labeled yellow. In version 2, row 1 is yellow and "may have restricted legroom due to the bulkhead" and row 3 is yellow and has limited recline. That's because version 2 has three more rows of coach seats. I played it safe and picked 2B.

Is this a publicity gimmick? If this was a fare error, HA or KE would have plugged the hole long time ago, but it keeps going. What's going on with HA and KE?

Very unlikely.

Similar examples of incompetence have persisted for many days.
Just enjoy it if you can.

Not all, but most. Furthermore, in the unlikely event it isn't going to be honored, you'll know about it well before you plant yourself in Korea.

I'm also sitting on the fence here, but not because I have any worries about the down side; I'm simply having a hard time picking reliable dates that I could use.

I'm booked for 2, one in November, one in December. I'm was hoping for one for next week but only 500$ economy tickets are available.

At least as of Saturday morning, my itinerary was viewable on HA's website. Now I can't pull it up either by PNR or ticket number. Anyone else in the same boat?

Edited to add: it's viewable once again as of Sunday morning.

I still can see my itinerary and ticket # now.
In addition, the fare is still there and bookable.

I cannot pull mine (in fact, the whole site is down for me. maybe they are blocking Korean IPs for the time being?) I had a ticket number too.

You pick up the phone and call Korean Air reservations.
