New tool: Kayak Explore

If anyone has already mentioned this my apologies, I searched to no avail.

Kayak has a new tool out called Explore. Pretty interesting to me, even though it is currently in Beta mode. I like the layout, but what actually impressed me is that after I clicked on the price it showed, over 90% (3 out of about 50 were gone) of the time it was still that price, with an actual flight.

There is the link. Makes it pretty easy to find 5cpm flights.

Happy travels.

Looks cool. They need to add an airline filter. A 2 cpm flight on an airline I do not care about is useless info for me. In its current form, I have to click to get to see the airline.

That's an interesting concept. Choosing a particular month doesn't seem to bring up prices. I would like to be able to search for Biz and FC fares only, too.

I like this tool = ) I agree that it needs an airline filter (although i guess the general public doesn't care about that!) but it's a much better interface than the old farecast/Bing "where to go" tool. Also, I'm glad it prefills the dates for that given fare...for a second I was worried it would just not give any details and make you search for it!

This would actually be an amazing vacation planning tool if it could also let you select specific dates instead of just a month. Like if I want to go somewhere over Christmas, i could set certain dates and see where in the world I'd want to go at what price.

All great points. Anyone know of a Kayak lurker on FT? or was there a feed back button on the page?

doesn't show all , I looked for December maxed out at 790$ only. But nonetheless nice to tool once it becomes fully functional

Nice find, Wonderbret! I'm having fun playing with this; not sure it will be very useful but it's giving me some ideas for future travel.

awesome tool! reminds me a little of bing but I like being able to look worldwide and for certain months. It's already coming in useful for me since I'm trying to figure out a cheap flight to anywhere in Europe before taking a lcc to my final destination.

I have previously emailed them directly through the website, and they've been fairly quick to respond.

Makes me think of travelocity's now defunct dreamaps for which I miss.

That's great. Well, I submitted my feedback to their site. We'll see what they say.

Glad to see others enjoy it as well. I just posted a MR JFK-SGN that I found with this. Has anyone received a response from their feedback? I doubt that kayak will ever have a page oriented towards MRers, but since I dislike farecompare this is helping me out quite a bit.

At this juncture, I still like the FC map better,
