My craziest AA routing yet

At $ 838 this does not qualify as a MR, but I am proud of the 4 extra connections I got in there. What's your craziest routing yet?

That's a damn fine routing you've got there. I had a few fun ones with segment padding in my day, some of my favorites were:

LGA-BOS-JFK-LAX

LGA-BOS-JFK-PHX

RDU-ORD-PDX-GEG-SEA-PHX (AA/AS)

LGA-MSY-STL-PHX

PHX-SEA-DFW-RDU-MCO-DFW-PHX

I've had a few:

LGA-DFW-SEA-PHX-SEA-DFW-LGA.

Int'l:

BRU-LHR-MIA-JFK

LGA-BOS-ORD-LHR-BRU-VCE when SN was a Partner.

I can't remember a convoluted routing to MSY. 6 segments total.

Used to frequently do SFO-JFK-NRT-BKK-NRT-ORD/DFW/JFK-SFO. Two nights sleeping on the plane with the SFO-JFK on a redeye. Used to be just about the same price as SFO-LAX-NRT etc.

My top three:

3. BOS-LAX-ORD-FRA for 8699 miles
which was the return for
2. FRA-DFW-LAS-LAX-BOS for 9309 miles

but my longest is

1. MTS-JNB-LHR-FRA-ORD-SAT 12006 for miles on three airlines. MTS-JNB was *A but I was OW the rest of the way.

DCA-DFW-SEA-DFW-FRA-DFW-SEA-DFW-DCA, for a little under $800 (w/ free upgrades to domestic first and international business class). Just the nested SEA-DFW-FRA and back RT was $10 cheaper from SEA than it was from DCA, and "a few more miles", plus avoided RJs to northern airports in winter to ride on 767; instead got gobs more miles, upgrades to domestic FC and attendant meals/drinks, plus 777 for international legs). That's spanning 10 time zones (made easier to track using my Citizen Skyhawk Eco-drive watch, showing three time-zones simultaneously with easy switching).

Did it two weekends in a row.

Showered in DFW and FRA Admirals Clubs on international legs to freshen up.

Just completed LAX-JFK-MIA-MSP-SAN-DTW-MIA-JFK-LAX today, 13,262 miles for $423. All in 51 hours, and I showered in MIA, DTW, and JFK.

I also got $200 compensation for VDB as well.

BOS-LAX-JFK-EZE and return, but my longest is BOS-JFK-NRT-SIN-NRT-DFW-BOS

now, if we include award bookings, then things might really get wacky

I forgot about my LAX-STL-ORD-MAN-LGW-DFW-LAX one from three years ago. Managed to upgrade every domestic flight too which made it nicer.
